Challenge
People making demos, social videos and film props need chat screenshots that look real. Most generators look fake, cover only a few apps and can't export video.
Approach
A Next.js editor with a faithful skin for each app, down to the fonts, read ticks and emoji style. PNG and MP4 export run in the browser with WebCodecs, so nothing is uploaded and there are no server costs.
Stack
- Next.js
- React
- WebCodecs
- Vercel
Highlights
- 11 apps, including WhatsApp, iMessage, Slack, Teams and ChatGPT
